Stinton Creek Lawn
Provides a stunning, lush, green location, near the ever-flowing Stinton Creek, perfect for both ceremonies and receptions. With a capacity of 50 to 150 guests, this space is perfect for those who want to celebrate in style.
Mary Hargreaves Pergola:
Is a favorite spot for weddings up to 100 people, offering wonderful views of the Centenary Lawn and Rose Garden. This location is perfect for those who want a more intimate celebration, surrounded by natural beauty.
Bennet’s Lawn:
Is the perfect choice for those seeking a more secluded and intimate space. This space is located away from the main attractions of the Park, partly shaded, and has a capacity of 50 to 100 guests. Whether you want to marry on the historic bridge or on the natural green lawn, Bennet's Lawn has many options to choose from.
Amphitheatre:
Create a stunning ceremony space within our popular, natural amphitheatre, featuring an expansive tiered lawn, and a view of the Old Swimming Pool. For larger weddings, the amphitheatre delivers a spectacular setting.

The most perfect idyllic and photogenic setting we could have possibly hoped for, extremely well priced and everything with organisation through Araluen was very smooth and straightforward despite our wedding being in spring(their very busy season with the tulip festival being on just prior to our wedding date). What is the best time of year to have a wedding at Araluen Botanic Park?
The ideal time is during spring, from August to November, when the park is fully bloomed.
Can we choose our own vendors for catering, photography, etc.?
Yes, you can bring your preferred vendors or choose from our recommended list.
Are there indoor options in case of bad weather?
Absolutely, Araluen Botanic Park offers indoor venues that can serve as a backup in case of inclement weather
Will there be a bond?
Bonds are due at time of booking to secure the space. Bond money is refundable based on terms and conditions outlined in the contract. A Non Refundable administration fee $100 are due at time of booking to secure the space.
Can I bring extra furniture for my event?
You can, however please ensure you discuss this with our Events Office
How many toilet facilities are available on site, and can additional portable facilities be delivered to site?
Araluen has public toilets to cater to the maximum guests permitted, so additional toilets are not required.
How much parking is available on site, and will guests be charged for parking?
Araluen has up to 600 car parking spaces available. The parking is included in the hire fee.
Can Events Officers assist with wedding planning?
Whilst Events Officers can assist with wedding logistics; which relate to the hire of facilities around the Park, they are not qualified wedding planners, and should you require these services, an external supplier should be employed.
Is there any time of year events and weddings cannot be catered for at Araluen Botanic Park?
Due to an increase in visitors and scheduled lawn maintenance for the Springtime Festivals, bookings are not taken for events in August – October.
Does the Park offer any security services? Can security guards be brought into site?
We do have a preferred security provider and this service is required for weddings held after 5pm at the cost of the hirer.
How many guests can the venue accommodate
We can accommodate weddings from 30 to 300 guests, depending on the selected venue.
Is the park wheelchair accessible?
Yes, most areas of the park and main venues are designed to be wheelchair accessible.
Can I have other events at Araluen?
Yes! There are plenty of beautiful venues to suit different events.
Can I have an after-hours event?
As Araluen staffing capacity is limited, all events (excluding receptions) must be held within the Park’s opening hours of 9am to 5pm. Receptions can be held from 6pm-10pm but an extra security cost will be charged and these bookings can only be made with written permission from ABP. Please note an additional cost will be charged for packing down for events that extend past the allocated time and/or visitors that delay exiting the Park.
Can I bring my own alcohol to the Park?
No BYO alcohol is permitted at the Park. For alcohol consumption at the Park, please contact [email protected].
Can I book a reception at the Forest View Deck?
The Forest View Deck is once again available for receptions! Reception bookings are for either 2 hours or 4 hours and cannot extend past 10pm. Please submit an enquiry via our web form or contact us directly at [email protected] for more information and to book.
What accessibility facilities are available on site?
Parking Bays and Toilets facilities for special needs access.
Are there changing areas for the bride, groom and bridal party?
This has not been requested as they generally turn up dressed and ready. But no, the Park cannot cater for this request at this point in time.
Can we host a rehearsal ceremony on site prior to the day?
Araluen does permit the wedding party to do a rehearsal prior to the actual wedding date. This is negotiated once a contract to hire is in place with a deposit
Should I wish to host a wedding reception on the grounds, can I bring in outdoor catering?
When our on-site caterer is not operating, it is possible to bring in outdoor catering. Suppliers will be required to fill in a contractor’s handbook and provide relavant documentation. Please discuss this with the Team
Can I bring décor and other items, such as outdoor heating to the Park?
Some items are permitted. Outdoor heating with naked flames is not permitted. Only battery-operated candles.
Are there any accommodation providers nearby where my guests can stay?
The Perth Hills Armadale Visitor Centre is a domestic travel agent and can provide booking services for hirers or guests.
